After a weeks of physical surveillance, evidence was collected which enabled us to obtain a warrant under the Workplace Video Surveillance ACT 1988 and install the broadcast quality covert cameras.
The evidence was presented to the NSW South Wales Crime Agency who then obtained warrants for the suspect supplier and receiver of the stollen goods.
The suspect was arrested and charged with having thousands of dollars’ worth of stollen good on his person. He later confessed to stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of goods from the workplace.
The contact receiver was also charged and tens of thousands of dollars of stollen goods were recovered from the garage at his residence.
In very difficult circumstances we had organised and executed a totally professional investigation in conjunction with the NSW State Crime’s Command Agency.
